The EFPM Award Jury has the honor to announce the European Fair Play/ European Fair Play Movement Awards 2025
The United Nations General Assembly, at its seventy-eighth session, adopted resolution A/78/L.85, proclaiming 19 May as World Fair Play Day, thus highlighting and recognising the spirit of fair play embodied in the Olympic ideal. We can also interpret some symbolism into the UN's decision: the month of May is considered to be the most beautiful month of the year. It is the month of love, nature awakens, we celebrate Mother's Day, but most of all it is the end of the Second World War in Europe. The European Fair Play Movement will add a nice action to these important milestones. The European Fair Play Movement will add another nice action to these important milestones. It is a small but significant step: we are announcing the laureates of the European Fair Play Awards and the European Fair Play Movement Awards.
The jury received an exceptionally large number of very worthy nominations, and we are delighted that they included outstanding, successful, active sports personalities who serve as role models for the younger generation, as well as valuable campaigns and projects to follow, and last but not least, personalities who are dedicated to educating young people and showing that sport has a dimension beyond breaking records and winning.
