EFPM Signs Partnership with the European Commission for the European Week of Sport
Copenhagen, 23-24 September 2025 – The European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), represented by Vice President Robert Perc, took part in the official signature of the partnership with the European Commission (EC) for the European Week of Sport (EWOS).
In line with its mission and with full respect for the principles of EWOS, EFPM has actively supported and promoted the initiative through projects such as “1000 km of Fair Play”, circulating awareness letters among its members, commemorating the foundation of the International Fair Play Committee, and organising the “Fair Play for Peace Award” in Brussels.
The European Commission, represented by Mr. Glenn Micallef, Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, acknowledged these efforts by signing the partnership agreement with EFPM.
The follow up opening ceremony of the European Week of Sport was honoured by the presence of His Majesty King Frederik the Tenth of Denmark, Count of Monpezat, who officially declared the opening of the European Week of Sport.
On 24 September, a conference at The Playhouse in Copenhagen, brought together distinguished keynote speakers and experts. The conference was opened by Mr. Jacob Engel-Cchmid, Danish Minister for Culture with Mr. Georg Haeusler, Director for Culture, Creativity and Sport (EC).
