Great Interest in the Turkish National Olympic Committee Fair Play Universities Caravan at Dicle University

The Fair Play Commission of the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK), which is a member of the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), continues its efforts to promote and disseminate the principles of Fair Play without interruption under the leadership of renowned journalist and television presenter Haldun Domaç.

With the participation of EFPM Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Selçuk Bora Çavuşoğlu, the TMOK Fair Play Commission carried on its university-focused activities aimed at promoting the philosophy of Fair Play across Türkiye at Dicle University in Diyarbakır.

Students of Diyarbakır Dicle University showed great interest in the panel held at the 15 July Culture and Congress Center, Orhan Asena Hall. TMOK Fair Play Commission members presented a commemorative plaque, prepared on behalf of Rector Prof. Dr. Kamuran Eronat, to Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aytaç Coşkun. The Commission also expressed its gratitude to the Director of the School of Physical Education and Sports (BESYO), Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Nasip Özaltaş, for his interest and contributions to the organization.

Following the visit to the Photography and Cartoon Exhibition, students who filled the hall shared examples of fair play behaviors they had encountered in their lives, as well as their impressions in line with fair play principles, with the Commission members.

During the panel, Commission President Haldun Domaç delivered a presentation titled “What is Fair Play?”; Vice President Prof. Dr. Selçuk Bora Çavuşoğlu spoke on “Fair Play and Personal Development”; Commission member Deniz Satar presented “Fair Play and the Impact of Social Media”; Commission member Dr. Faculty Member C. Nihal Yurtseven delivered “Atatürk and Fair Play”; and Commission member Başak Sönmez gave a presentation titled “Fair Play Through Visuals.”

In recognition of contributions to Fair Play in Diyarbakır, the Fair Play Commission presented a plaque of appreciation to Deputy Governor İlyas Öztürk on behalf of Governor Murat Zorluoğlu. Commission members also paid courtesy visits to Deputy Governor Murat Yıldız, District Governor of Çınar Zikrullah Erdoğan, Diyarbakır Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Cenk Öztekin, and Turkish Jockey Club Diyarbakır Hippodrome Director Yılmaz Çelik, thanking them for their contributions and support for fair play.
