Moldovan freestyle wrestler Ivan Panicerschi received Fair Play Card at the International Tournament of Olympic Hopes.
The 26th edition of the tournament took place on 8 November 2025 in Košice, Slovakia, and featured 106 under-19 wrestlers from nine countries and 21 teams. The competition was highly competitive across all weight categories.
Panicerschi won the 61 kg category, which featured 13 talented competitors. As well as performing excellently, he impressed with his attitude — he demonstrated true fair play throughout the tournament. He remained composed even when faced with questionable refereeing decisions and consistently showed respect and humility towards his opponents.
The Fair Play Card was therefore a well-deserved recognition of his sporting achievements and the moral values he embodies, setting an example for all young wrestlers.
The award was presented by Tatiana Švecová, member of the Executive Committee of the Fair Play Club of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee and Laureate of the Diploma of Recognition of the European Fair Play Movement.
