Olympic Values in Action: Inspiring Communities, Athletes, and Leaders

From Miami to Israel, the Olympic Committee of Israel continues to turn values into action — uniting communities, empowering athletes, and advancing leadership in sport. Through festivals, forums, education programs, and workshops, these initiatives showcase how Olympic values inspire excellence, equality, and belonging both on and beyond the field of play.

Olympic Festival for the Jewish Community in Miami

In October, the Olympic Committee of Israel held an Olympic Sports Day at the MARJCC Community Center in Miami, bringing Olympic values and Israeli sports culture to the local Jewish community. Children and youth participated in hands-on activities led by Israeli Olympic and Paralympic athletes and coaches, who shared their personal journeys and values. The event fostered inspiration, connection, and a spirit of excellence, highlighting sport as a powerful tool for unity, perseverance, and self-belief.

Annual Athletes’ Forum

The Athletes’ Forum, led by the Athletes’ Commission of the Olympic Committee of Israel, brought together 60 past and present Olympic athletes from a wide range of sports and Olympic Games, from Seoul 1988 to Paris 2024. Hosted at SolarEdge headquarters, the forum included a panel on career transition featuring former Olympians and highlighted the commission’s role in representing athletes’ voices within the Olympic Movement.

Career Management Course for Female Coaches

The second cohort of ״Career Management Course for Female Coaches״ — a career-management program for female coaches in elite sports — has concluded after a six-month program in which 11 leading coaches from Olympic and Paralympic fields took part.
Developed in collaboration with Olympic Solidarity, the program aims to advance gender equality in elite sport by empowering female coaches through professional development, international-level preparation, and personal mentoring by senior female leaders in Israeli society.

Beyond the Rings: A Workshop for Young Athletes Inspired by Olympic Values

During December, an Olympic-themed workshop was held within the Athletics and Swimming federations, giving young athletes an opportunity to reflect on their sporting journey beyond daily training and competition. The Beyond the Rings workshop explored core Olympic values, including fair play, anti-doping, safeguarding in sport, and Olympic legacy, and was led by senior athletes from the same disciplines. The intergenerational format fostered inspiration, continuity, and a strong sense of belonging to the Olympic community.
