WORLD FAIR PLAY DAY 2025 in San Marino Closes with Success
The curtain falls and the spotlights go out on a highly successful evening staged on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Little Tony Auditorium in Serravalle, with a large audience filling every seat in the Multipurpose Hall.
The 8th edition of World Fair Play Day opened with a welcome address by CNSFP President Gian Battista Silvagni, followed by institutional greetings from the Secretary of State for Sport, represented by Federico Valentini, the Captain of Serravalle Castle, Roberto Ercolani, and the eagerly awaited speech by the Secretary General of the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), Ioannis Psilopoulos, who brought greetings from the European Fair Play Family.
This was followed by two interesting presentations that captured the attention of the large audience: “Victory is an attitude, not a result” by Paolo Filippini and “Fair Play: when the game belongs to everyone” by Daniele Colasuonno. A touching moment of the evening was the presentation of the Fair Play Award in memory of Lucio Dalla, with the diploma accepted by the President of the Lucio Dalla Foundation, Andrea Faccani. Musical guest Stefano Fucili entertained those present with his own songs and those of Lucio. For the occasion, the CNSFP awarded Fucili a Certificate of Merit for his brilliant musical career.
As scheduled, the ceremony for the presentation of the various categories of the 2025 Fair Play Awards began, involving all the winners who have distinguished themselves in their sporting activities and beyond.
The presentation of all the emotional videos of activities related to Fair Play was greatly appreciated by the audience, as was the performance of the various anthems prepared with the important preparation of CNSFP Technical Director Diego Renzi.
The evening was brilliantly hosted and directed by Maria Rita Morganti and Sara Serafini. Finally, the San Marino National Fair Play Committee (CNSFP), in greeting and thanking all those present, the various sponsors, the various institutional sponsors, bodies, and associations that collaborated, announced the date for the next ninth edition of WFPD 2026.
On the morning of Monday, September 8, 2025, a courtesy institutional meeting was held with the Captain of Castello di Serravalle Roberto Ercolani and Council Secretary Eros Merlini, who received EFPM Secretary General Psilopolulos and his wife, accompanied by the leaders of the CNSFP and CSPC.
