Club GR S Auderghem (BEL) awarded WITH EFPM “DIPLOMA OF RECOGNITION" 2025
40 years of listening, friendship, benevolence and gratitude...Waking up every morning and telling yourself that nothing can be taken for granted, but that what you've given so far feels like happiness. The joy of practising sport in an incredible setting, surrounded by a team of instructors and a responsible committee that respects everyone and ensures that everyone finds their place within the club.
We don't train champions, we don't compete, and that's what drives us every day to surpass ourselves, again and again, to respect rhythmic gymnastics, its codes and its values, so that every gymnast can evolve at his or her own level, with his or her own skills and motivation.
Our instructors are trained within the club, and the older ones pass the baton to the younger ones, within a framework where transmission and self-sacrifice are essential.
40 years of volunteer commitment to a project built by all and for all...Sport is essential for the development of children, especially girls. The commune of Auderghem has understood this, allowing us to occupy the Gymnasium on a daily basis so that every year, +/- 240 gymnasts join our club.
This project has been built up since 40 with all the players in civil society, politics and sport. The French-speaking gymnastics federation, with which we are affiliated, enables us to showcase the talent of our gymnasts at the events it organizes. Every year, our club receives recognition from the local authorities at the Sports Awards ceremony. We rely on each other so that our children can not only take part in sport, but also develop friendships, grow and blossom...
We have two mottos at the club that we share regularly:
“Alone we are nothing, together we are a team” and ‘Gym R.S. is a Pleasure and must remain so’.
We were the 1st sports club to join Panathlon, and Fair Play values are an integral part of our philosophy and the values we teach our gymnasts. As the icing on the cake, for its 40th anniversary, the club donated a suit to the Manneken Pis, which will now be worn every March 8, International Women's Rights Day.
