The United Nations General Assembly has designated 25 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to raise awareness about all forms of violence against women. It is also the starting date of the 16 days of activism concluding on the day that commemorates the International Human Rights Day.
In honour of this day the National Fair Play Commission of San Marino (CNSFP) continues its red bench project
The National Fair Play Commission of San Marino (CNSFP) launched the RED BENCH project on 25 November 2019, when it placed the first red bench in the Ausa di Dogana Park, a symbol of rejection of violence against women and a tangible and permanent sign of remembrance. The red benches will raise awareness and give everyone the opportunity to stop and reflect. On 29 November 2024, the CNSFP, in collaboration with the Municipality of Castello di Acquaviva and with the participation of third grade students and teachers from the B and F classes of the Serravalle State High School, will inaugurate TWO RED PADOS in Castello di Acquaviva and Piazza di Gualdicciolo, in a jointly promoted event.
