The winners of the 2nd edition of the Fair Play World Photography Competition organised by the Turkish Fair Play Commission of the National Olympic Committee of Türkiye have been announced.

While the third edition of the Fair Play Photography Competition organised by the Turkish Fair Play Commission of the National Olympic Committee of Türkiye is still ongoing, the winners of the 2nd edition of the Fair Play World Photography Competition have been announced.

The selection committee of the 2nd edition of the Fair Play World Photography Competition, organised by TMOK Fair Play with the support of Samsa Group and the Turkish Sports Writers Association and launched in April 2023, met at the Olympic House and evaluated the photos.

The preliminary jury of the competition, which received 56 entries, reviewed the following works

and deemed 14 works unworthy of the competition and eliminated them. The 42 works deemed worthy of the competition were presented to the jury in turn on the screen. After the second presentation, a vote was taken to determine the top 5:

1-Halil Fidan (Turkey); Ali Cakas, an Olympic/national athlete and member of the of the fire brigade's search and rescue team in the Nurdağı district of Gaziantep, won the DOSTLUK pseudonym photo with the cat he rescued from under the rubble and adopted on the 4th day of the earthquake.

2-İhsan Korkut (Türkiye); with the Merhamet pseudonym photo he took during a bicycle race

3-Yağız Gürtuğ (Türkiye); with the Bir Yudum Su pseudonym photo he took during a triathlon race

4-Arpan Basu Chowdhury (India); with the Chasing Dreams pseudonym

5-Ahmet Keskin (Türkiye); with the Address Children pseudonym photo he took during a football match

Hungarian journalist David Balogh (Hungary), who was deemed worthy of the Jury Special Award with the Finish Line pseudonym photo after the athletes reached the finish line at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. The Jury Special Award was presented to David Balogh by Prof. Dr Bilge Donuk, a member of the Board of the European Fair Play Movement.
