Gen. Lottas Charalambos
Born on 7th October 1937. After graduating from high school he attended the military school from which he graduated as second lieutenant and joined the military service. He also attended in Greece the “High War School” and the “National Defence School” from where he graduated with honours. He played football at the APOEL Nicosia Club and ENAD Agios Dhometios Club. He holds a diploma as a football coach.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of Cyprus Olympic Committee, since 2012 its Secretary General. Moreover he is President of Cyprus Handball Federation, President of Modern Pentathlon-Biathlon Federation, Chairman of the Arbitration Commission of the International Handball Federation. He is also Vice - President of Commonwealth Handball Association (Europe Zone), Vice - President of Mediterranean Handball Confederation as well as a Vice - President of Balkan Modern Pentathlon Union. He was Executive Committee Member of the European Fair Play Movement (2006 – 2016). In 2009 he received the European Handball Federation Special Award for his longstanding partnership as the President of the Cyprus Handball Federation.
