NOC of Israel: The Annual Athletes Forum 2024

The Annual Athletes Forum brings together former and current Olympic athletes, organized by the Athletes Commission (AC) of the Olympic Committee of Israel.

The 2024 Forum celebrated the conclusion of the most successful Olympic Games in Israeli sports history and welcomed 60 Olympic athletes. This inspiring gathering united athletes from a wide range of sports, spanning generations — from veteran athletes who represented Israel at Barcelona 1992 to members of the Paris 2024 delegation.

The event began with opening remarks from NOC President Yael Arad and CEO Gili Lustig. They were followed by Chair of the AC Yakov Toumarkin, who presented the commission’s activities and achievements.

The Forum provided an opportunity to express gratitude to the outgoing AC members for their dedication during the Paris 2024 Olympic cycle: Shahar Zubari, Linoy Ashram, Nufar Edelman, Yuval Filo, Hanna Minenko, Andi Murez and Ilana Kratysh.

Best wishes were offered to the newly elected members, chaired by Yakov Toumarkin, and including Girmaw Amare, Maayan Davidovich, Peter Paltchik, Maor Tiyouri, Shelly Bobritsky, Denis Loktev, Gili Cohen, and Nina Amir.

Established 28 years ago, in 1996, the Athletes Commission is one of 14 committees within the Olympic Committee of Israel. Comprising nine members, both retired and active athletes, the commission works to support athletes and amplify their voices in decision-making bodies and within the Olympic movement as a whole.
