Europe’s first monumental “Fair Play” sculpture in the Brussels Capital Region

On 17 February 2022, Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles inaugurated Europe’s first monumental “Fair Play” sculpture in the Brussels Capital Region.
The striking sculpture, which measures 1.8 metres in both height and width, is attached to a base that is also 1.8 metres high. It was unveiled in the presence of Pierre Kompany, Mayor of Ganshoren and father of former Red Devil, Vincent Kompany. Also attending were Magali Cornelissen, Deputy Mayor in charge of French-speaking Culture, Guy Vanhengel, Vice President of the Brussels Parliament, Philippe Housiaux, President of Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles and Isabelle de Bellefroid, the Belgian sculptor who created the work.
