INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC DAY 2025

The San Marino Pierre de Coubertin Committee (CSPC), the San Marino National Fair Play Committee (CNSFP) with the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee (IPCC) proudly join with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to promote the vibrant initiative ‘MOVE TOGETHER.’ The Campaign encourages everyone to embrace the movement together, whether it's inviting a friend to train, using digital tools or sharing your activity on social media: MOVE AND PARTICIPATE!

As Pierre de Coubertin once reflected in His Olympic Memoirs: ‘...As much as Olympism, it has been considered absolutely superfluous...The philosophical value of the Olympic Games has vanished into thin air...’ But today we know better. Olympism is more than sport it is EDUCATION, Connection and Inspiration in action. Join us and institutions around the world to celebrate the Olympic Movement, Inclusion and Spirit.

Each year on 23 June, International Olympic Day is celebrated, a global tribute to the power of sport, to commemorate the realised desire to establish the basis for introducing the modern Olympic Games on that date in 1894 at the initiative of Pierre de Coubertin. It is well known that the French baron established the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1894 at the Sorbonne in Paris while the first Olympic Games were held in Athens Greece in 1896.
