Let's Move: The Olympic Day 2024 in Israel

One month before the opening of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Olympic Committee of Israel marked the International Olympic Day in a festive event with the participation of Olympic and Paralympic athletes, together with children and youths at the Meir Medical Center.

This is the second year running that the NOC has chosen to dedicate this day to the children of the Meir Sport and Health Center, where over the past two years, the Olympic athletes have been volunteering.

The Meir Medical Center has been the official medical accompanier of the Olympic Team for over two decades. In addition to its dedication and professionalism in accompanying the top Israeli athletes over many years, it is also a partner for the excellent educational initiatives in Olympism for the future generation.

The festival was opened by Ms Yael Arad, IOC Member and NOC President, together with Dr. Yaron Mushkat, the CEO of the Meir Medical Center, followed by an opening ceremony according to the Olympic protocol.

About 130 children who participated were exposed to various Olympic and Paralympic sports which included Judo, Archery, Football, Gymnastics, Fencing, Goalball and Wheelchairs Basketball.

All the sporting activities were led by athletes!
