AI for Youth as Part of the Olympic Class Program

As part of the collaboration between the Olympic Committee of Israel and Intel Israel, 100 young athletes of the NOC Program, "Olympic Class", participated in a unique workshop that combines innovative AI technology with excellence.

During four sessions, the teenagers learned basic concepts, improved their abilities and understanding of the principles of AI, in order to deepen their potential for the future, and even visited the Intel Research and Development Laboratories in Haifa. In addition, the studying process included mentoring by experts from Intel, who accompanied the young students in developing technological ideas in the field of AI to solve problems in sports.

The workshop came to an end with a competition between four groups who advanced to the final stage and presented their ideas to a panel of judges from Intel, the Olympic Committee of Israel and the school.

Arik Zeevi, Olympic medalist in Judo and the initiator of the Olympic Class Program, stated: "They are all excellent children who strive for excellence. Thanks to the practice of competitive sports, they acquire tools that will be used by them long after finishing their sports careers. Now with the encouragement and support of Intel, maybe some of them will also be part of the Israeli high-tech industry."
