#FairPlayRun of the Polish Olympic Committee 2023

For the third time, the Polish Olympic Committee invites schools all over Poland to take part in the #FairPlayRunPlay initiative, promoting the value of fair play in sport and in life. The initiative is part of the celebration of the International Fair Play Day (7 September), which was established, among others, by the International (CIFP) and the European Fair Play Committee (EFPM).

"This day is important because we are trying to make the world a better place to live and grow up through the example of fair play in sport," said Jeno Kamüti, president of the International Fair Play Committee.

The originator of the run is Hanna Wawrowska - president of the Fair Play Club of the Polish Olympic Committee and a member of the EFPM Board and a member of the CIFP Council. The idea of the Polish Olympic Committee Fair Play Run is not about breaking records! The aim of the campaign is to promote the idea of fair play among as many students as possible. A sports event may be accompanied by other educational initiatives - debates, exhibitions, meetings. We leave teachers free to choose the distance and form of organizing the run. Let's play fair, let's play together! Hanna Wawrowska emphasizes before the action.

The third edition of the #FairPlayPKOl Run is ahead of us, in which 350,000 participants from 800 schools across Poland took part last year! In the run held since 2021, more and more schools and participants start each time, so we hope that this great result will be beaten again.- says Radosław Piesiewicz, President of the Polish Olympic Committee and adds that "the mission of the POC is to promote physical activity among children and youth, and if this activity is also guided by values such as respect, friendship and joy, then we hope that sport will stay with people for life. life".

The ambassadors of #BieguFairPlayPKOl are Anastazja Kuś - gold medalist of the 400 m run at the European Youth Olympic Festival Maribor 2023 and Ksawery Masiuk - bronze medalist of the 2022 World Championships and world junior swimming champion.

The #FairPlayRun is very popular - last year 800 schools from all over Poland took part in it. The previous two editions in many schools became an all-day action towards common values (2021) and motivation to take up physical activity(2022).

Among the schools which, in the opinion of the Chapter, will engage the largest school community and organize accompanying events #BiewiFairPlayPKOl will select five schools whose representatives (50 people) will be invited to the Olympic Camp Fair Play at the Central Sports Centre.

The partner of the third edition of #BieguFairPlayPKOl is a long-term partner of the Polish Olympic Committee, the Olympic Education program of the Polish Olympic Committee and the Polish Youth Olympic Team - the KINDER Joy of moving program.

KINDER Joy of moving is a corporate social responsibility program implemented by the Ferrero Group in over 20 countries around the world, including Poland since 2007. The aim of the program is to promote an active lifestyle among the young generation and their families, and to popularize the universal values ​​of sport, such as fair play.
