GESTURE OF FAIR PLAY IN SAN MARINO YOUTH FOOTBALL BY SIMONE SALVI

The National Fair Play Committee of San Marino salutes the admirable Gesture of Fair Play by the young footballer Simone Salvi of TreFiori/Fiorentino. He showed integrity and good sportmanship on match day 4 of the 2017/2018 season of the San Marino Youth Championship.

The display of Fair Play that has earned the CNSFP’s recognition is the following: After his team Tre Fiori/Fiorentino had scored a goal, Simone reported to the referee that he had committed a foul wich had led to the score, and the player urged the referee to nullity the goal.

This gesture was thorougly appreciated by the referee, who showed the player a “green card” in acknowledgement of this act of Fair Play. Simone received a special reward from the Youth Sector of the San Marino Football Federation, which also gave him a Men’s National Team jersey.

For this virtuous and significant example of Fair Play, the National Fair Play Committee of San Marino confers Simone Salvi with the AWARD FOR GESTURE OF FAIR PLAY.
